Mack Energy Co. (MEC) is the oil and gas Operating Company for the T.H. McCasland Sr. family heirs. The company operates over 700 wells in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and South Louisiana. Mack Oil Co., the predecessor operating company to MEC and organized by T.H. McCasland Sr. in 1945, was the lead company for years. Mack Oil Co. can trace its roots to Mr. McCasland’s activities as a lease and royalty trader during the early 1920’s in southern Oklahoma. Mr. McCasland subsequently began operating his own production in the 1930’s.
Beginning in the 1960’s, the company’s activity expanded from prolific southern Oklahoma producing region into northern Oklahoma and Kansas. Expansion has continued in recent years to include Texas, and the Louisiana Gulf Coast and International regions. Mack Energy consistently ranks in the top ten oil producers in Oklahoma. The companies also have a considerable non-operational property portfolio.
In addition to Mack Energy Co. and Mack Oil Company, other family oil-related enterprises include; SouthOk Development Co LC; Fourgen LC and EnerWest Trading Co LLC.
Mack Energy Co., and associated companies will typically drill or participate in 30-50 wells per year. The company is continually evaluating new regions and opportunities for investments in oil and gas development projects.
The company’s business and technical offices are headquartered in Duncan, Oklahoma with technical offices in Lafayette, Louisiana.
